This means that the individual is never cured, but has begun to build a foundation for recovery during their residential stay. Successful recovering clients know you can't face addiction alone. It is well known that the longer an individual stays in treatment the stronger their recovery program. Thus involvement in an alumni program helps to strengthen participants' recovery programs. Many former residents benefit from the guidance and friendship an alumni group provides. Some topics discussed include, housing, work, and relationships, while remaining clean and sober. Participants also benefit from the opportunity to work with residents, giving back to the program in the true spirit of 12-step recovery. Sun Street Centers Alumni Association Group meets once a month on the first Tuesday of each month for ongoing care and support. The meetings are located at 7 Sun St Apt #B Salinas Ca 93901.
